Ditched TWC, Love DirecTV!! But, i have a few questions....??

Hey, thanks for everyone's help. Especially Tom.
I called thursday to get directv, and then came the next day. So by friday at Noon it was fully installed. I have 2 hd dvrs, 1 dvr, and i standard.
We had that big storm on friday too. I was a little freaked out and new it was going to be put to the test here in oak creek. It went out for 2 minutes when it was pouring with over 30 mph winds. 2 minutes maybe even less.
I have a couple of questions though.

1)I have the Sports pak, but can't get the red sox games. Guessing they are blacked out. Just wondering if this is normal?
2) Sunday morning, around 1:45am, i tried to switch to an Encore movie channel. It gave me a 771 error (i think it was 771) and when i went to see the signal strength, it showed the 1st one at 94% but the second one wasnt even coming in. What does this mean? Can someone kind of explain what is going on when this happens? I reset the box and it works perfect now.
3) do most of you customize your favorites list? I love that feature where i can eliminate the channels i will never watch.

Well, i love directv so far. Im sure it will only get better the more i know about it. I do hope the 771 error is once in a blue moon, but we'll see. If it does keep happening, i will def. call.
The customer service is great!! I called to see if there was any word on cbs hd. And she said not yet, but as she was talking, she sent out a waiver for me. Yeah, it will get declined cause i can easily get it ota here in oak creek, but still. I didnt even ask, and she went ahead and did it. And its $40 cheaper.

Also, the picture quality is great!. I was skeptical cause i heard of HD LIte and all that non sense. So far, the picture is just as good as time warner cable's HD. Even the MPEG2 channels are awesome. ESPN and TNT NBA playoffs were awesome.
gotta go!
thanks everyone once again.
going to watch ALIENS!

Yes, it is normal, all games are blacked out, except our local teams. For me it includes Chicago Cubs & White Sox (Comcast Sports Net from Chicago). It depend on your zip code. My zipcode is included.
If you want other games you need to subscribe to MLB package.

Call DTV, most likely the receiver is not good, they will replace it.

I am not, I know channels I want and most of programs I watch are pre-recorded anyway.

Enjoy D*, I switched from Dish Network in December and I am happy. It took two-three weeks for adjustments (different DVR features, channel layout).
