(November 1, 2002) New York City-According to a recent article in The New York Times, Manhattan real estate developer The Durst Organization is planning to build a new 358-foot tower on one of its buildings in Times Square. The tower would serve as a backup for television stations that lost their main antennas when the Twin Towers were destroyed by the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The tower will be located at the Conde Nast Building at 4 Times Square and will serve stations that have been using the antennas on the Empire State Building since September 11, 2001.
