For my fellow west siders, Madison's public TV station WHA channel 21 has signed on their digital station on channel 20. Right now at 12:40 p.m. they are running a 1080i program. Strong signal strength of 88. If you can turn the antennas and take a look.

Comes in good here in Germantown. I get CBS and PBS just fine. My problem is 26 ABC which I really want. It only come in once in awhile. I might buy another UHF antenna and put that one in parallel with the one I have and see if that works. They are in my attic.

Excellent, I wasn't expecting any other digital stations from Madison for a while.

I get a solid 60 for a signal level. The antenna I am temporarily using is in the attic. Pretty decent for being 50 miles away.

My records show them broadcasting at 50.0 Kilowatts on channel 20. That’s the same as WMTV on channel 19. I have not been able to get a good lock on WMTV ever.

They are still running a 1080i program this evening as well.

Notice the quality of the picture on the travel shows? Awesome. This is as good as it gets. They have no multicasting to worry about...yet. Now I hope Fox 47 turns on their digital signal on Ch. 11 to complete my access to all the networks.

I’m not really that impressed with Milwaukee DTV and have been toying with the idea of searching for the Madison DTV signals. I live on the far west side of the City of Waukesha and should have a decent chance of acquiring their signals. Now that Madison has more DTV stations, and from the sounds of the recent posts about their quality, I can’t find any reasons not to explore the opportunity. Thanks for the updates on Madison DTV.
