After Cuprisin's chat on Friday there has been a lot of wondering about the number of viewers using this new medium. Mr. C says that the 200 plus members we have here is nothing and thus the stations don't want to spend money. I in the past have made mention that there are lot more people making avail of this forum but have never registered.
A lot of persons are just afraid of revealing any information: IE: email address ect. and are afraid for the privacy of their information. A couple notes to those who visit and haven't registered. #1 the site is set up so the only one's with access to your registered e-mail are the system operators, UNLESS, you do like I do and actually put your email address in your signature line. #2 you can always go get a free hot-mail account and use an alias here and thus protect your identity.
In final closing, I have said before I freely show you my real name and e-mail address and anyone who e-mails me can do so in complete confidence. In the last 2 weeks I have gotten quite a few e-mails, all in all, I've had over 25 persons who frequent this forum, but have never registered and thus never posted, send me e-mails. As I promised you will never see your name or address revealed by me and although they are in my contact book, I just keep a record of non-members who contact me.
At this point should anyone be interested, I have been logging these numbers since March, and barring a duplication error on my side, I have had contacts from 157 persons that are not registered to this forum (it was 182 until I checked and found that 15 of these actually did register after emailing with me).
In addition I'd like you all to know that I have the computer on almost all the time and it is in the Media Room here at home with DSL. While I'm not always here, I usually am in the evenings. You can contact me on either AOL Instant Messaging or Yahoo Instant messaging at glengling, or at Windows messenger at glengling@ameritech.net (the same as my email address).
