Center Channel stand for behind TV

I live in an apartment, and am not allow to affix anything to the walls. I have Speaker stands for my other speakers and currently have my center channel sitting on the LCD's stand in front of the tv. Its ok but not great. I like it better when the center channel is above the TV. So what I'm looking for is a stand that will go behind the LCD's stand and hold the speaker above the screen, so that the center channel with be in line with (as opposed to in front of) the LCD and above the screen too. I have been unsuccessful in finding one so far. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you could build your own, or if that is not an option, have a custom one built for you.

Check with Flanners in Brookfield. I bought a shelf for my center speaker which puts it above the TV. Mine is actually made for my style of TV (DLP), but they might carry something that would work for an LCD.

I thought about building my own, but I think a wood one would be to big, bulky, and ugly (everything else I have is modern, slim and made of metal/glass). I don't think I'd be able to make one out of metal.

Not exactly sure of the address but they moved over a year ago. They are in the old Barnes and Noble store across Blue Mound Rd from the mall.

You can't miss Flanners, right across the street from Brookfield Square. They are not cheap but you get good service.
