New DTV Install

I need to add another TV to my current Directv setup, does anyone know If I need to call DTV directly to do this or can I just purchase a new box and hire an outside contractor to connect it to the dish? If I can do this anyone have any recommendations in SE wisconsin on who would do this?

Its up to you. You can call DTV and have them ship you one, the boxes are pretty easy to hook up or you can buy one. I bought one off ebay, called DTV to get it registered and it works great.

I like the fact that I own this box, its mine. Still have to pay the $5 fee, but at least I know it has resale value.
