Take a look at Titan Tv's stations coming soon area. I see WCGV listed on 25 for 9-1 (less than 4 weeks?) but no WVTV. Has Sinclair finally figured out how to beat the system?

The funny part to me is that you ever had it listed at all. I live in Milwaukee and I've never had it listed. Below is an edited email conversation with TitanTV that I had in June. Very impressive response times I might add.

As a frequent visitor to your site I am wondering why you do not list Milwaukee's WB Channel 18 WVTV, to be digital channel 61, in your Digital Stations Coming Soon area for Milwaukee, WI? They are not currently digital and I would be interested in a date when they might go to a digital broadcast. Thanks for your help and thanks for all you are doing in this rocky transition to HDTV.

Good afternoon Robb-
First off, thank you for visiting TitanTV.com and for providing valuable feedback. We do list WVTV for some addresses-it could be that our prediction does not predict you to be within WVTV's signal (when it goes live). If you would like to forward your street address, City (if it's something other than Milwaukee) and ZIP Code I will look into why we do not list it for you. FYI, we have the projected live date of the station to be Sept. 1 of 2002. This is however, subject to change if the station is not ready. Thanks again for your interest in the site.
Best regards,

I then sent her my address in Milwaukee.

Thanks again for the additional information. We looked up your address, and sure enough, we don't predict that address to be within WVTV's digital signal (when they go live that is). Our prediction is just that, a prediction, and we're in the process of creating a way for our members to add in stations that we don't predict they would receive. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime. Thanks again for your interest in TitanTV.
Have a nice day,
Christie

I just looked at their list for my area - which admittedly is less than 2 miles from all the main transmitters and this is what I get:
ABC 34 WISN-DT Sep 1 2002
FMN 44 WMMF-DT Nov 1 2002
IND 48 WJJA-DT Nov 1 2002
PAX 40 WPXE-DT Nov 1 2002
PBS 35 WMVT-DT Feb 1 2003
REL 22 WVCY-DT FCC Extension
TBN 43 WWRS-DT Nov 1 2002
UPN 25 WCGV-DT Sep 1 2002
WB 61 WVTV-DT Sep 1 2002
Does anyone really think that WISN is going to switch on in September? Same with UPN or WB?
I would be very surprised if these dates hold, but if they do, then I can see myself finally talking my wife into allowing me to get that OTA receiver!

TitanTV doesn't show anything for me yet I am only 6.34 miles away. Not to mention according to www.100000watts.com (http://www.100000watts.com) 18 and 24 use the same tower (which should be right) so why do I get 24 listed and not 18?

Anyway, I'm going to be optimistic about this and hope that around three weeks from this coming sunday we will have HDTV coming on 3 more channels. 18 and 24 aren't too big a deal right now, but c'mon 12!!! I want Alias, Practice, and Bond in 720p (well, upconverted to 1080i http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/ubb/smile.gif)
