Howdy,
Had to replace my previous HD box (w/ Passport) about 30 days ago because it died. Didn't realize that I would be getting Navigator. Everyone knows the issues with Navigator so I don't need to keep beating that horse.
This last Tues or Wed., I come home from work and the box has reset or rebooted. The 'power' is off and the power-on channel is Channel 1. Didn't think much of it, but when I went into my DVR List and went to play a program, my picture remained in that little PIP-type box in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The only way to 'reset' the GD thing was to go to an HD channel, then back to the list to resume watching the DVR'd program. The other thing that was happening was my non-HD channels were reverting back to normal screen size vs my selection of stretch.
Off I went to Southridge to swap the box. Brought the box home. This time there are some very odd first power-up instructions (plug the box in, but don't power it up, wait for the clock to appear then unplug the GD thing so it can continue to receive software updates via the coax). Anyway, this box is doing the exact same thing as mentioned above.
I have not called TWC because I just don't feel up to it. Has anyone else heard of this or seen this? Any thoughts/suggestions?
I am so sick of setting up my recurring recordings now I could spit. If it weren't for HD Theater I'd throw this whole mess in the creek and do without.
Thanks,
Corey
