OK, for the last 2 weeks, The Office has not recorded on my TWC DVR. I checked on TV.COM's web site and it looks like there was a re-run scheduled on 10/11, but according to NBC.COM both this week and last week were new episodes. What gives?

I had available space and later shows recorded just fine. The series manager looks like it is set up fine. Did anyone watch The Office last night? What gives?

Strange - mine has recorded just fine the last two weeks.

Mine has been fine also. I'd delete the season pass & re-add it.

No problems here either.

I had problems with recording the season premiere three weeks ago, but no problems the last two.

Perhaps you have the DVR setup to record at 8:00 only (or whenever the office starts, I don't watch it)... and it has been starting at 8:01

The Office is showing as set to record this week in the guide, so we will see what happens.

It will all be irrelavent in another week, when I get D* installed. The TWC DVR is going bye bye.

Dan,

Do you have the old Passport (Grey) Guide or the new Navigator (Blue) Guide? There is a known bug with series recordings with the Navigator Guide that sometimes when the head-end signal gets updated the older series episodes will sometimes not record. The workaround from what I have heard from other boards on Navigator is to go in and delete each series episode that did not record and than reschedule them by selecting them to record again. (A pain in the *****, I know.)

Some people with Navigator are having better success recording each show individually instead of working with the series manager. So what they do is, they will delete EVERYTHING in the series manager that is set to record and than reprogram the DVR to record each episode of a series individually. In other words, don't treat the series as a series when recording, but treat each show as a separate episode.

For those with Navigator, does anyone know how it deals (or is supposed to) deal with series recordings? How does Navigator differentiate a "new" episode or recording?

Jack

For your suggestions. Since I originally posted this I switched to D*, so it is irrelevant now.

BTW - The Office is still not recording (BECAUSE MY GIRLFRIEND KEEPS CANCELLING IT). There is too much on Thursday nights to watch and record it all.
