OTA compared to dish

I have hr20 with D*. I currently record most of the shows on network TV OTA. I do this in case of a storm, my show will still be recorded. Does OTA take up more/less/same room as the HD channels thru the dish?

I would say OTA takes up more room because the channels through directv run at a lower bitrate than OTA.
