American Idol in Hi Def

I could have sworn when I watched American Idol last night it was in HD, however when watching a reply today off my DVR, it was SD. Is this possible? Usually when I record things in HD they always playback in HD. Is the sky falling?

The wife DVR'd and watched it last night and she told me it was in SD til about the 4th singer. (TWC channel 506)

I had the same experience... the first 45 minutes were SD and the last 1:15 were HD...

Recorded on TIVO OTA.

I wonder if this was a network issue or a local HD issue with Fox 6? I give Fox 6 slack though - they do the best job (in my opinion) with HD. They hardly ever forget to "flip the switch".

It was horrible, I DVRed it the other night, and when I went to watch the TV lit on fire.

As soon as I saw that it was SD on FOX 6, I turned to FOX 32 out of Chicago, where the entire show was in HD. I guess that means that the SD problem was specific to Milwaukee.
