COAX RF proper hookups, good reference needed

does anyone know of a good reference for general hookup procedures for coax (RF) runs thruout the house.

I have satellite tv, hdtv (pc-card), conventional antennae, splitters, combiners, A/B switches etc to distribute signals to 2nd,3rd, (etc) tv's in the house (the primary tv is wired with RCA/S-Video/Digital cables)

what I am looking for is information on things like signal degredation (from splitting or long runs for example) interference (from combining signals for example) filters, amplifiers, etc

I've never run across a primer on that..but if you need help...I can probably help. Let me know your complete setup and how long your cable runs are..how you want to split...anything else you can think of. You might just want to e-mail me direct...my email address is at the bottom of this note.

Last winter I had similar needs. I found several useful guides published by Channelmaster. They were quite dated, however I did inquire with them if there was a more current version and they sent them as Adobe Acrobat pdf files. I do have them at home, I'll edit this post from there and get you the names of the documents for reference.

Gregg-- I'll blast them to you for a look. Although I didn't ask, I didn't see them online, but they might be burried somewhere.

One of them was titled something like MATV systems and published in the late 60's, the others were a bit more current.

Embarissingly, I don't seem to have them electronically anymore that I can find. However, one is called "Off-Air Antenna Installation guide" and I did find it at: http://www.starkelectronic.com/cmig.htm
