Every so often, when I pick it up it'll go into 'test mode' It does it on almost a full charge, too. Anyone else have this problem?

Never had that problem with mine...

Try upgrading the firmware of the remote.

Under the Support section, it has a spot for Firmware upgrade.

Semi-related..

I am almost ready to ditch my MX-1000 remote (its starting to flake out on me) and bite the bullet and get a Harmony 880...

Are they still over 200 dollars??? Where is the best place to pick one up? (mail order or otherwise)??
