The three HD services will air 24 postseason bowl games in HD Dec. 20-Jan. 4, concluding with the Rose Bowl -- which will decide the BCS national championship -- Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. (EST).
“Offering 24 bowl games in high-definition raises the bar and emphatically demonstrates our HDTV leadership,” ESPN and ABC Sports president George Bodenheimer said in a prepared statement. “From affiliates of ABC to distributors of ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD, and along with current and future sponsors, the message is clear: ESPN and ABC Sports are delivering the future of sports and technology.”
