Well, I had the audio sync problem a few of you have had in the past. I called directv and they gave me the rca box, like most of you have recieved already. I stated my concern early on that I am absolutly NOT a fan of ANYTHING from RCA, but the box and remote had some nice features. One of the most favorable features was the RF remote which will go off of a radio frequency along with the infrared. It was nice cuz I didn't even have to point the remote at the box for it to work; i.e., when I am eating dinner with the remote next to me. I do not have to pick it up with greasy fingers, all I have to do is press the button and it will work.
WELL GUESS WHAT....................THE STUPID REMOTE WON'T HOLD IT'S CODES.
Just like my other piece of crap rca remote for the (non-HD) box in my bedroom, it won't hold it's codes. It starts off where I must re-enter the codes for it to work on a daily basis. I am now waiting for the entire thing to stop working. I am going to call directv to see if they will do anything. I will keep the post alive to let you know what happens. And as I exit...................................
