US Digital DB-2010 OTA Reciever?

First I'll tell you what little I know about these boxes and then I'm gonna ask you what you know about them.
Two versions are available:
1.) Is a box that will only work with the co-operation/authorization of US Digital. This is a pay to watch service that operates in three major markets on the West Coast (LV, San Diego and ? ) .
2.) Is a pretty close to identical box that the Wally World folks sell for around $200 - this is a reasonably full featured OTA receiver that apparently will also decode HD cable offerings.. This will work anywhere a OTA signal exists - does not need the authorization/co-operation of US Digital to work. About the only way cool feature it lacks is DVI output.

My questions are:
1.) Does anyone around here ( Milw.,Wi.) actually have one of these ? How's it workin for U?
2.) Does it decode the HDTV signal from TWC? I assume you would have to pay for HD service - but you wouldn't have to rent their box/equipment ? True or Not?
3.) My Hughes D* E-86 box also claims that you can feed a cable HDTV signal into it and get HD out ? Anyone actually doing this?

I have one that feeds a 27" analog TV and works quite well for OTA. It is an OTA box only so it will not decode cable. Beware of buying these on e-bay. Some people are selling the subscription only boxes trying to get rid of them and make a profit on a subsidized $20 box. They will not work for OTA in a market not served by USDTV.

On the south side of Oak Creek over dere I gets all of the Milwaukee locals.

Just for grins I called USDTV today to see if/when they will be expanding to the Milwaukee area.

The response was the typical "someday" by direct quote.

I wonder if these guys are watching/tabulating the sales of their Wally-world units to see when an area has purchased enough units to make it worthwhile to roll out their service.

While their lineup is sparse (No Sci-Fi, sniff-sniff) the remaining channels cover the wife's and my needs.

And at $19.95/ month it beats the pants off any other cable/satellite service.

I hope that they will never make it in Milwaukee. They take away banwidth from HD.
