Boosting small antenna Question

Hello,

I am dumping all Cable/Sat cos, anyhow I get a pretty good OTA signal with my RSDB antenna sitting on the Ent Center facing ENE. I would like to boost the signal a little more seeing that I will be without a cable or a Satellite Dish. I am on 70th and North and like I said, I get a pretty good signal except for 6-1 but after a little tweaking I get a steady signal. I would like to boost it enough so I no longer have to tweak it for 6-1.... What would my best bet be? I am not interested in an attic or outdoor antenna. the attic is too difficult to get to and outdoor is out of the question with my wife...

If your only problem is WITI Channel 33 than just wait til June when they should have their new transmitter and be using their new antenna at the top of the tower, instead of their low power antenna and transmitter that is much lower.

An amplifier will just cause you more problems than good at your location.

I recommend getting a second antenna and aiming it at 6. While normally that is bad due to multipath, the RSDBT is very directional so it should not matter.

The DB antenna beamwidth is nearly 30 degrees (http://www.hdtvprimer.com/ANTENNAS/DoubleBow.html) . That's not very directional by any standards. Combining the outputs of two of these together (which is what I think picopir8 was suggesting) is a bad idea IMO. I'd stick with Gregg's advice.
