It popped up on my 360's channel line up late last night, I tuned in to find that 70's show on.

BUT, did nayone else notice an audio sync problem?

Audio lagged about a second behind the video.

I didn't check it this AM.

I also don't get this channel. Do I actually have to call D* to get it activated. I know there were problems during the World Series getting the channel, however I was able to watch it then.

Over at AVS there are quite a few people who live in O & O areas that are supposed to get it but are not at the moment recieving it.

Most have called the CSR's and have not had much luck or been told much. (They are usually a day or two behind) You may want to wait a day or two so D* can get it all sorted out, then try them.

Keep us posted and I'll do the same if I see any posts that may interest us in this area.

good luck,

After the usual lack of customer service from D* I got through to "Advanced Technical Support (ATS)" and FOX HD was activated immediately on my account.
FYI, here is the supposed direct line to ATS to cut through the lower levels of CSR that really want to help but end up wasting your time. Try calling 1-800-695-9251 first. I know the regular CSR's mean well but unless they know who can really help, you are usually S.O.L. They don't seem to have access to all of the info. In my case the CSR was insisting that she had to send a technician out to my house to solve this!!

I tried your phone number and got someone immediately, but he was no help. I was sent to a eligability line where I was on hold for greater than 10 minutes before I hung up. Is there anyone in Racine county getting the national feeds? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I tried again this morning. They transfered me to the eligability department again. This time they answered the phone and I now have FOX HD east coast feed. Packers in HD on Christmas Eve!!!!

When I use the guide to look at the Packer game on ch88, it does not say HDTV as do the other channels, 70-79. What am I missing here? Even though the guide does not say HDTV, is the programming still HDTV?

Then why doesn't the guide info for Ch 88 say "HDTV"? Channels 70-79 indicate HDTV for their guide info?

I've just spoken to 5 different CSR's and finally the last one was able to help. I now have channel 88 live without an extra fee. I asked her if I was eligable for the feed, she checked and said yes. I asked her why I qualified for the feed, and if it was because our local Fox station is O&O by FOX. She replied "Yes, that's correct." I told her the run-around I was given, and she appologized on behalf of everyone at D*. I wish I remembered her name, but she was in the HD eligability department. I called the ATS (Advanced Tech Support) 1-800-695-9251. I have to say KEEP TRYING!!! I had to talk to 5 different people to get it, but eventually you will talk to someone that knows what they are doing.

Every FOX and CBS national game has been in HD this year.

Plus, they promo'd it during last weeks games as being in HD.

Here is a link to the original FOX - HD NFL schedule as well.

Then why is everyone getting excited about getting Ch88 when it's a duplicate of 6-1? Other than watching local NY news, what's the point? I get 6-1 just fine.

I still don't understand why the guide info for both 6-1 and 88 do not indicate that the game is HDTV.

First, you may get 6-1 fine but alot of people in the area with D* can't receive Fox-6 HD OTA so its an added HD channel for them.

Plus during the regular NFL season it will be another NFL game to watch if we are not getting the national game. Ie: you may get packers vs ? at noon on Fox-6 while also getting NY Giants vs ? at noon on ch. 88 as well. Some weeks they will be duplicated but many weeks will have different games. I get NFL ST and local Fox OTA so it really doesn't matter much to me either. But to those outside the FOX OTA signal area it is great.

Second, the guides are not always right. I don't have any inside info or anything but according to the original press release, history of FOX doing national games in HD and the Promo's ran last weekend it will be in HD.

I don't get 6-1 here, so this is a way to get FOX-HD. The Packers game is just a bonus.
