I am wondering if anyone out there capable of receiving the Madison OTA channels have some issues receiving WHA-HD and WKOW-HD.
I have a Hughes E86 box, similar to the Toshiba and Mitsubishi. The tuner found all the local digital channels with no problem. I then hooked up the dish.....
After a power reset of the box, the channel guide kicked in and now lists programming for the Madison stations. Except now, the guide lists WKOW-HD as 27.1 (They promote themselves as 26 and physically broadcast on 26.1)
WHA-HD broadcasts on 20. The guide lists WHA-HD as 21.1 as it should. The guide appropriately lists the programming correctly for both the analog and digital channels.
The big problem: The receiver shows the analog channel on 21.1 and 21. If surfing between channel 21 and 21.1, the tv will sometimes fade to snow quickly and return with the analog picture.
The only way to see the HD programming is to type in 20.1 and it displays 'channel not available' It then automatically changes to channel 21.1 with the HD programming.
I'm wondering if anyone else has the same issues?
Thanks,
Andy
