Does anyone know if we will get multicast or HDTV games this weekend (3-25 to 3-28)?

Seems to be multicast right now, Thrusday evening. The HD channel is gone and the multicast channels are up.

This weekend only games on Friday and Sunday are being broadcast in HDTV from St. Louis. All other game sites are in SDTV. Our NCAA telecasts on CBS-58 will be on our multicast channels both over-the-air and on Time Warner and Charter Cable through Saturday. Then starting Sunday the games will be delivered in HDTV on our over-the-air DTV channel and only on Time Warner Cable channel 505.

Is it a choice then between seeing the HD game tonite, or having both games in a given time slot?

Is it possible to do both?

And if a choice has to be made, why not choose to show the HD game instead?

I'm with Mags, I'd rather see the HD game.

I totally agree, I would rather see the HD game than be able to see both.

No, with todays compression you only have enough bandwidth to broadcast digital OTA one HD or four SD channels. That will change with time. The other option in the future is to have a fiber connection to the cable company and they can send both to their customers, but OTA broadcast are limited by the bandwidth today.

That would be my choice, but I own an HDTV. Most of Milwaukee does not and would prefer seeing multiple games.

I am glad to see that this Sunday and next week will be in HD.

Looks like neither multicast nor HD tonight. Can't get the Kansas game on OTA or Cable. No HD to boot. :(
