Very Cool! I wonder if there will be any more surprises in the run up to the end of the year?

Just saw this on WISN website:
Tonight on 12 News at 6:00
New technology that could revolutionize the way you watch television. Learn how it works, Thursday on "12 News at 6:00."
Perhaps they will be talking about HDTV and cable???
One to watch...

My guess is that it's the IControl thing that TW is hawking that allows you watch what you want when and how you want it... kinda like a Tivo/Pay Per view hybrid...

Looks like WISN-DT has a reasonable schedule this week. Delights we can savour this evening in HD are:
7pm: Concert for World Children's Day (I wonder if this will have 5.1 sound?
8pm: Film: My Best Friends Wedding
Friday:
8pm: Drew Carey
Saturday:
7pm Film: The Sixth Sense
Sunday:
8pm: Alias
9pm: The Practice
Monday: Nothing unfortunately..
and tuesday is just fully loaded from 7pm through to 10pm.

SuperBowl on cable HD after all.
Maybe it will soon be time to move the OTA to my 36 inch instead of the 50 inch Toshiba in the family room.
But I can't watch upconverts with the black bars on cable, its annoying and I'm too afraid of burn in.
I probably would have got rid of cable a long time ago if it wasn't for ESPN and other sports.
TW needs HDNET and Discovery HD.

Will the TWC HD box upconvert the ABC 720P to 1080i? I take it MNF is not in HD?

Thats because they are simply passing our signal through(with a bit of compression added). The digital audio is embedded into the video signal at the station.

Raj:
As of today at 5pm (11-20-02) you can find ABC on Channel 12-1. It had been on 34-1 but they got their equipment configured to allow them to be seen as 12-1.
Cheers
