According to wire sources, three of the five FCC commissioners have conditionally voted in favor of the News Corp./Hughes Electronics merger.
The two other commissioners (both Democrats) have yet to vote. If the three Republican commissioners in favor of the deal don't change their votes, the deal will proceed for approval at the U.S. Justice Department. Reportedly, the Justice Department will approve the deal if it receives sanction from the FCC.
