NBC had problems with the HD feed both Saturday and Sunday.
For Men in Back on Saturday they did the first half of the movie in HD.. but then just gave us a black HD screen for the rest of the movie. We had to switch over to upconverting the SD feed.
NBC has an instant message system to every affiliate station. But they didn't use it. We called NBC, they said the problem was on their end. We asked them why they didn't tell us there was a problem. They said sending out a message would generate too many phone calls.
Sunday NBC had the same problem with Boomtown. We went to the HD feed at 9:00 PM but there was nothing there..(except the NBC logo over a black screen.) So once again we switched over to the upconverted SD feed.
Lip sync also is a problem with some HD NBC programs. We could change it for the entire station, but then most of the programs would be wrong. We really need the incoming network feed to be correct.
