Nova on PBS (Next Week)

I know it is often hard for people to find out what is on the PBS demo channel, but I notice that next week, PBS is broadcasting Nova "Cracking the Code of Life" in HD next week.

The times this is on is listed here (http://www.wpt.org/digitaltv/pdf/0825_0831.pdf).

This should be two hours of glorious high definition on a very interesting subject.

I only wish that they would rerun "Life's Greatest Miracle" and "Runaway Universe" as well. Both of these are suppose to have awesome 1080i pictures and are very interesting subjects as well.

I have noticed that the WMVS HDTV listing page has changed. See here (http://mptv.org/main_listings.htm). Perhaps this will finally give you the schedule you want (though probably after they have shown Nova...)

Oh yeah that's real good news. That page has been like that for over 3 months. It is 2/3's thru August and still no listing on that page. Sounds like a government project...delay, delay, oops never mind.

Last time I checked it was an "Under construction" kind of deal. This was the first time that I saw

But as for the 8pm Sunday demo listed -- NOT. Just their normal 5 sub-channels -- one of which was wide-screen in a 4:3 signal (black bars on all 4 sides.) Lovely.

I think it says the demos don't start until October.
