Tom, If I remember correctly you also have the DTC100 STB like the unit built in my set. They get a little flakely with stations that aren't on 24/7, especially if an analogue signal shows up. It effectively thinks it is looking for an analogue channel and doesn't look for the ATSC signal (apparently the software looks for NTSC before ATSC). The way to fix this is to do a rescan. I know it's a bitch but I wonder if RCA knows about this, these STB's are supposed to be Firmware upgradeable via OTA signals and telephone.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
