Noticed this in another post. All I was looking forward to was ABC getting on the air so I can see Monday Night Football (no confirmation as of yet) and the SuperBowl(pretty much confirmed) in HD. I will be mad if I miss Monday Night Football IF it is in HD...but I will not be able to forgive if WISN does not get their signal going by the end of January for the Superbowl.
You know what else is kinda sad, websites like TitanTV are given dates for projected OTA dates, but a local website devoted to informing WISN's watching public about such things is not. I know that certain stations have been bashed on this forum, but a station manager who will actually take a few minutes a week to keep us informed and maybe even post here would definitely get a big thumbs up in my book...regardless of what has happened in the past.

Looks like I'll continue to get my WS Alias fix from usenet and maintain my boycott.
Thank$ WI$N for nothing.

According to Dean Maytag (WISN Promgram Director) we should see WISN-DT on the air by early fall. That was his most recent email to me. Then again back in January he said they would be on May 1. Then again they didn't have the ok from the Milwaukee Common Council back then either. Who knows. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say now that they have approval we'll see it soon. They were never against DTV. It seemed they were just against having to lease space on someone else's tower.

I hope you are right. Maybe Todd or someone can convince him to make a post regarding their current time-line. It would be great to get more of the programming directors/station managers involved here.

I just saw that link on the FCC site. From how I interpret it that means that WISN is now licensed with a test authority. I imagine there has to be some time limit from when the STA is issued and when you have to begin broadcasting a signal. Maybe Jim Hall can enlighten us. As for the STA, it probably means they are going to use low power, but as long as their antenna is more than 125' off the ground it shouldn't be that big of a deal. http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/ubb/tongue.gif

This (http://www.fcc.gov/mb/video/files/dtvstas.html) actually confirms that WISN now has an STA. I would imagine that means we whould start regularly checking channel 34 for signal strength. Now if we could ever just get some sort of firm rumor on what's going on with SCGV and WVTV.

Regarding MNF, I don't think any games will be HD based on what I've been seeing on the AVS forum. I can only hope 58 picks up a few of the SEC college games that I think will be carried on Saturdays.
Of course, do you REALLY want to see Madden in HD?
