Aspect Ratio Channel 28

When watching channel 4 digital (28) the aspect ratio is standard 4:3. Does anyone know if this will change in the future to the widescreen format? I have a Hughes E86 and you cannot change the aspect ratio of HDTV broadcasts...at least to my knowledge. Anyone else have the same situation?

It's 4:3 during non-HD programming...when a HD program runs it goes to full 16:9 and the bars dissappear.
